If you are a restaurant, then you have to have an FSSAI license. It certainly has legal implication and besides the legality, it also ensures that the quality of the food is good. The restaurants should be designed under the guidelines of FSSAI and even the smallest of the places can be designed by following the guidelines.
The benefits and legal implications are many and as a restaurant owner, you might be wondering over the whole process. But everything is going to be changed here now if you follow the following steps. These steps would work as a guideline.
The FSSAI Registration process:
Step 1: Look for the eligibility criteria depending upon the central and state license that you need. You have to fill in each location separately.
Restaurants with a turnover of up to 20 corers will need State License and anything more than that would need Central License.
Step 2: You need to sign up using the contact detail such as telephone number and email address and create a username before you submit for registration
Step 4: The account gets activated and you will get the confirmation SMS and you need to remember the fact that you can use it for 30 days.
Step 5: Now, you have to sign in to your account and fill the application and at this point, you have to supply all the relevant documents that are required for the process and you have to make sure that you finish it at one go, otherwise the application will be invalid
It is advisable that you take a print out of the form before clicking the submit button, you need to need note down the reference number so that you can track the status of the application later.
Step 8: Now, You have to submit the printout of the Online Application Form to the Regional Authority/State Authority along with all the required supportive documents within 15 days of online submission of the form.
Note: You will be charged FSSAI Registration Certificate Fee INR 100 per Year. For the state license, the cost is INR 2000 per year, and for a central license, it would be INR 7500/Year.
Documents that you required:
- The form must be duly completed and signed by the Restaurant Owner
- Address Proof issued by the authority
- Identity Proof
- List of main stakeholders in the business along with their identity proof
- Food Safety Management plan which can be downloaded
- Proof of possession of premise such as Rent Agreement, Electricity Bill
- NOCs from local bodies
These are the important documents that you need to have in order to get the licensee. If there are other documents required, you will be promoted by the system to submit the important documents to complete the process. All you need to do is to go through the online registration process and get it done quite easily.
